Jurassic Jewellery Offers Best Fordite Jewellery & Shark Tooth Necklace

Fordite, also known as Motor Agate, is a one-of-a-kind automotive enamel material with a fascinating backstory. The original layered automotive paint slag "rough" was created by the now-extinct practice of hand spray-painting multiple production cars in large automotive factories years ago.

However, over the years, both collectors and factory workers saved significant amounts of paint slag. While the name "fordite" implies that the paint gems originated primarily in Ford plants, it has also come to refer to any gem made of layers of hardened paint.

It's time to dispel some myths about fordite, a man-made material. Fordite is not a gemstone, despite the fact that it can be cut and polished and is also known as "Detroit agate" or "motor agate." But that hasn't stopped jewellery designers and brands from using the material, which appears to be a product of Mother Nature.

Fordite jewellery has several names, including Detroit Agate and Motor Agate. This lovely "stone" is actually the remnants of old car paint from Detroit and other auto plants. Previously, automobiles were spray-painted in paint booths using sprayers.

Our Fordite Jewellery

We include a fine collection of jewellery made with Fordite, an incredible and beautiful material derived from paint residue in car paint shops. There is very little material left, and this is rare and collectable jewellery. Our Fordite earring is handcrafted with a unique sterling silver setting for a Fordite cabochon. The earrings are 4cm long from the bottom to the top of the earwire.

Earrings are suspended from solid sterling silver ear wires and come packaged in a labelled velvet-lined jewellery box. The packaging has been greatly improved, and the jewellery will now be sent to you in a magnificent foil embossed presentation box, with the jewellery in a labelled velvet lined box.

It also includes a signed certificate of authenticity with a unique holographic serial number, as well as a 24-page colour booklet packed with information on the jewellery's origins and even jewellery care advice.

We Provide the Best Shark Tooth Necklace

Many surfers, like the ancient Hawaiians, wear Shark Tooth Necklaces for superstitious reasons. Wearing a shark tooth is said to keep sharks at bay and to protect you while at sea. Sailors frequently wear them for good luck and drowning prevention.

Shark tooth necklaces can be ethical, but you must be cautious when purchasing shark tooth jewellery. If the tooth is a real tooth that has not been fossilised, the chances that it came from an unethical source are extremely high.
